Nature has many beautiful aspects and so many wonderful features. Sometimes we wonder why nature is misunderstood. From nature worst appearance to its delighted moment’s nature always will have a true beauty behind its story.

Genesis 1:3 “Then God said “let there be light” and there was light.” With all the colors and features of what the sky can bring. Just from the reflection of the sea in the mist of our presence you can look at and just think about anything from just a glance up “breath of fresh air”.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I through nature?  Brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and wondrous.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest, against the earth's sweet flowing breast; nature should be looked at in many different shapes forms and fashions, nature should not be judged based on feeling and that people put forth in it but be judged by how it comes together on its own with no man made powers.
Sometimes we mistake what may not beautiful to the heart and determine it to be ugly for the eyes “Such a beautiful disaster .magic and myth as strong as what I believe. A tragedy with more damage than a soul should see and do I try to change?” even with nature at its worst it still beautifies the eyes.
“God said Let there be light and there was light” many times in life we may have so many dark moments and not even know when there will be another thought of seeing light. Even though the sun is miles away and we can only feel its warmth through season changes just to know that there is another day that we can see the sun and the effect it has on us is just an enlighten feeling.
In conclusion nature plays many roles in our life and in our mood. We as human beings have to dwell in the moments nature does not only affect us it has and major affect on animals and the plants too. I do understand Emerson when he says nature is not only to see but to feel. Express who you are and what you feel through nature.

Op-Ed essay

                                       Op- Ed essay on Emerson

Ralph Waldo Emerson has works many of literature and I believe that his work should be taught to students in mainly Honor classes.  Emerson work is complex. People who do not read a lot will find it very difficult to understand Emerson’s  writing.
Emerson’s works can enhance a student’s vocabulary. People who can comprehend difficult text  can  improve, but other’s who are not use to reading sometime may not  understanding  . Other’s who are not use to reading will not understand Emerson’s writing. Personally, I find Emerson’s work hard to understand because I don’t read that often. A person who reads on their  own on a daily basies will most of the time  know what’s going on in his writing. Emerson’s writing can help Students reading skill if people continue read his writing.
Emerson wrote about nature and I found it hard to understand.  In this  writing on  Nature he gives us quotes on how people should see Nature through their eyes. “ Nature is not always tricked in holiday attire, but the same scene which yesterday breathed perfume and glittered as the frolic of nymphs, is overspread with melancholy today.” Emerson expresses nature in a way which I find hard to  understand. Other people may have the same problem because Emerson uses words that’s not easy understandable and uses  “fancy” words to make the sentence complicated. People who reads often have a better   idea about his reading . High school students who  are in Honor classes  have a better  chance  understanding  Emerson complex reading but everyone should read some type of writing and may even have lessons on him  . These lesson can  improve a student’s reading skills.
When  people reads Emerson works they think there’s a hidden message in it. Emerson expresses his feeling and thoughts in different ways. He talks about nature as if he meditates with it. I believe Emerson want us to get in touched and understand nature. Personally, I feel that we should get in touch with nature to because it helps us with a lot of things in life.
My ELA class went on a trip to Botanic Gardens and tried to see a different side of nature. I took pictures of things of sights that thought were valuable.
The picture here is one out of many pictures that me and my class took at the garden that we thought  was valuable.
Emerson has a way to explain things through his own knowledge and  wants us to get in touch with our own knowledge so we can see things that we never seen or heard before. The things Emerson talks about in his writing should have a more clear understanding to his writing but students should still be taught by him.

The Natural Things in Life

 NATURE
I believe Ralph Waldo Emerson’s work should be taught in high school.  His writing is like poetry without rhythm.  Emerson has a wide vocabulary; also his use of figurative language is very interesting.  His work encourages people to value nature no matter what the age.

Emerson’s work actually teaches something.  In the passage “Nature” Emerson says “nature never wears a mean appearance”.  Even at its worst nature is still amazing.  For example, my classmates and I took a field trip to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens on a rainy day.  Even after the rain I was still able to see the true beauty of the nature that surrounded me.  The rainfall was bad however through it all nature still stands.

Emerson’s work also influences a childish spirit to emerge, which would actually help other students gain the true hands on experience with nature.  In his passage he says “the lover of nature is he who inward and outward senses are still truly adjusted to each other, who has retained the spirit of infancy even into the era of manhood”.  What Emerson means by this quote is if someone is a lover of nature they have preserved their spirit from childhood in order to have an appreciation for nature.  For example, when a baby is exposed to any form of nature you can see their true feelings toward it.  If you were to keep that kind of enthusiasm toward the natural throughout life, you would truly become a lover of nature.  I believe I have some sort of childish spirit still in me but I could use a little enthusiasm.

Reading Emerson’s work causes a student to actually put effort towards opening their mind more.  In his essay he says “all natural objects make a kindred impression when the mind is open to their influence”.  What Emerson is trying to say here is that as long as you open your mind to something it may have a great impression on someone.  Every environment has a certain appeal towards someone.  Another example, when I stepped my foot on the grass of the Botanical Garden I was filled with a certain reverence.  I opened my mind to the influence of nature that surrounded me.

Although some people may feel that Emerson’s work shouldn’t be taught because it’s hard for children to understand transcendentalism.  I disagree; I believe that Emerson’s work teaches a lot.  In order to understand what he is really trying to get across in his work it requires a lot of thought.  So if the youth refuses to put their minds to it society would see as Emerson’s failure.  When actually the problem is that the youth of today are lazy.

All in all I believe Emerson’s work teaches a lot.  I feel that schools should continue to teach Emerson’s work in order to help them induce enthusiasm in the youth today.  Additionally to help them build an appreciation for the natural things in life.  Emerson is trying to teach the youth a well deserved lesson.  It is up to us to learn it.

Photo Essay Sample-Nature: A Riddle

Nature: A Riddle

Behind the veil of her face nature does not leave a single clue for a man to trace to reveal who she truly is. Each moment spent basking in her presence reveals some thing more extravagant than the previous. There is something wonderous, marvelous, and awesome waiting for man in the great outdoors. In the essay, "Nature" Ralph Waldo Emerson stated that "Neither does the wisest man make her reveal her secret or lose his curiosity by finding out all her perfection." He was correct in stating that even the smartest man can never know all of the secrests of nature and one can never grow bored when faced with a riddle like nature?

A wise man searches for the intangible in the midst of the "immortal beauty" of the landscape in an attempt to solve the riddle.

He lets the aroma of the flowers in bloom speak to him but the truth of their words are hidden from him. How they came to be escapes him as their scent runs away on the back of the wind.

Even in death nature's beauty cannot be discerned. It must be investigated...

...manipulatedand coaxed into communion with man.

We fear what we cannot understand, thus man tries to dominate the land.

The land gives up nothing and his instincts encourage him to go down another path.

For others delight, joy, and the feeling of youthful exuberance can be revived...

...while exploring the landscape for the answer

Or in quiet contemplation.

Nature is marvelous and wonderous from the basest creature to the largest tree. Emerson's essay "Nature" encourages the reader to appreciate nature not just because of it's sublime divine beuty but because of the unfathomable work that went into creating such a glorious beauty for our eyes to behold and our spirits to delight in.
